This regular Mitsubishi Outlander Service, which is based on a predetermined manufacturer’s 15,000km service interval period, will always be performed by Mitsubishi Trained Automotive Technicians based at our Group1 Mitsubishi Service Centress based at our showrooms in Kuils River in Cape Town and in Rivonia in Johannesburg.
Mitsubishi Outlander Service Options
When your 2.4L 4WD Mitsubishi Exceed with CVT is in need of a service or needs to undergo any form of maintenance then there are two servicing options available for you. When your SUV needs to go for a service is determined by the Outlander Service Schedule, and you can find the breakdown of when your vehicle will need to undergo its service in your vehicle owner’s manual. Additionally, we will also indicate in your Outlander Service Book when your next service is due. When being serviced, your Outlander will undergo one of two service options which are based on the mileage of your vehicle. These are:
A Mitsubishi Outlander Minor Service
For as long as you own and are driving your vehicle, it will need to have a regular Minor Mitsubishi Outlander Service. This service included important diagnostic checks as well as the checking and replacing of certain consumables and parts. This includes, but is not limited to the following vehicle servicing aspects:
- Engine oil and the oil filter replacement
- Brake and clutch fluid replacement
- Cabin air pollen filter replacement
- Addition of an Approved Fuel Additive if necessary
- Any Mitsubishi Outlander Software and Firmware updates if necessary
- Onboard computer diagnostic checks and a reset once the Outlander Service is complete
A Mitsubishi Outlander Major Service
Depending on the Service Schedule of the Outlander your vehicle might need to undergo a Major Mitsubishi Outlander Service. When this service is undertaken the following list of procedures will be undertaken during the scheduled maintenance:
- Air conditioning and heater systems will be checked
- The battery will be checked
- Brake lines, hoses, and connections will be checked
- Brake pads, callipers, and discs will be checked and adjusted if needed
- The engine cooling system will be checked
- The driveshaft and CV boots will be checked
- The exhaust system will be checked
- Front suspension and the vehicles ball joints will be checked
- The fuel system will be checked, including the filter, fuel lines, hoses, and all fuel connections as well as the fuel tank air filter system, vapour hoses and fuel filler cap
- The transmission itself as well as the transmission fluid level will be checked
- The parking brake will be checked
- The steering system including the gear rack, linkage and boots will be checked
